Tia Rumple joined Manchester University in Spring 2026 as a mental health counseling intern. Following her internship, Tia joined Manchester as a full-time mental health counselor. Previously, Tia worked at Purdue Fort Wayne’s Center for Student Counseling as a counseling intern while completing her master’s degree. Tia has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. Tia identified a passion for working with college students through her dual internships in university settings, specifically supporting students as they grow individually, relationally, academically, and professionally. Tia utilizes an individual, humanistic approach to counseling that focuses on exploring student’s strengths, challenges, and unique backgrounds. Tia’s theoretical background for counseling is derived from an Adlerian perspective with a focus on social relationships, goal setting, and encouragement. Tia utilizes a variety of skills and interventions while working with students including mindfulness and grounding, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy. Tia hopes to provide a space where students can be open, present, and authentic while providing support for their goals and wellness journey. In her free time, Tia enjoys gardening, playing volleyball, and going for walks with her two pups (Roo and Nugget). Tia also enjoys listening to records, watching true crime shows, and reading. Tia received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Saint Francis. Tia also holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Purdue Fort Wayne.
